Maplewing Mama
Large-Format Delta-Wing UAS for ISR, Logistics & Command Roles
Maplewing Mama is the larger evolution of the Maplewing FPV platform — a robust, attritable fixed-wing delta drone engineered to serve as a mother drone, ISR platform, logistics carrier, or link relay. Designed for extended operational roles, Mama combines generous payload capacity with proven aerodynamic efficiency and reliable field performance.
With a 60” x 46” footprint, burst vertical take-off, and cruising speeds of 80 km/h (up to 170 km/h max), Mama delivers scalable capabilities for missions that demand endurance, flexibility, and rapid deployment.
Mission-Ready Performance
- Expanded Platform — Larger airframe for greater payloads and mission endurance.
- Vertical Take-Off — Operates from almost any terrain without runways or launch systems.
- Wide Speed Envelope — 80 km/h cruising and 170 km/h maximum speed enable ISR, command relay, and logistics missions.
- Flexible Mission Roles — Configurable for ISR, logistics resupply, communications relay, or as a mother drone for smaller assets.
Aerodynamic Advantage
Mama features a proven anhedral delta wing for:
- Excellent Stall Resistance — Reliable control during take-off and low-speed flight.
- Exceptional Gliding Efficiency — With a 14:1 glide ratio, the aircraft can traverse significant distances silently and efficiently, minimizing power use and extending operational endurance.
- Simple Flight Controls — Operated with only two elevons and a front puller motor, ensuring easy to learn intuitive flight control and reducing maintenance complexity.
- Scalable Design — Straightforward layout enables rapid field repair, operator training, and efficient domestic manufacturing.
