Custom Prototypes Announces Strategic Cooperation with Poland’s Bumech Defense to Bring Maplewing Drones to Europe

  Toronto, Canada — October 9, 2026 — Custom Prototypes Inc., a Toronto-based product development and advanced manufacturing company, is pleased to announce a strategic cooperation agreement with Bumech Defense sp. z o.o., a subsidiary of Bumech Defense Partners S.A. of Poland, to distribute and manufacture Maplewing unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for European markets.
  Under the agreement, signed on October 6, 2026, Bumech Defense will serve as the exclusive European distributor and manufacturing partner for Custom Prototypes’ drone products. The cooperation will initially focus on the Maplewing FPV, a compact, fixed-wing delta drone designed for efficient production, rapid deployment, and ease of operation. Future plans include expanding cooperation to additional platforms, including the Maplewing Mama, a larger, versatile fixed-wing UAS, and the Maplewing Fire, an industrial multirotor platform.
  The partnership aims to establish local manufacturing capabilities in Poland, develop European distribution and technical support networks, and explore the creation of a dedicated drone operator training centre in Poland. The companies intend to combine Canadian engineering, product development, and prototyping expertise with Bumech Defense’s industrial capabilities and access to European markets.
